EL MEXICANO: Red Achiote Paste, 3.5 oz

Achiote is another name for Annatto Seeds. (Bixa orellana) and achiote paste is the Mexican condiment that gets its main flavour and color from annatto seeds. PERFECT FOR: Latin dishes that require an infusion of color and brightness, or acidic flavors. Great in grilled chicken, pastor-style tacos, shredded pork sandwiches, cochinita pibil, and many other dishes. The paste can also be added to empanada and tamale dough for color and flavor.
