My Dad who is from North India makes a tangy tomato masala sauce for me just like this one flavored with sweet caramelized onions, fresh ginger and garlic along with a delicate blend of aromatic Indian spices. In our house, this is our all-purpose curry sauce and the perfect base for making chana masala (chickpea curry).
